Palletizing systems utilize direct drive roll forming machines to make customized pallets of various shapes, sizes and textures. This method greatly reduces labor cost by reducing the number of man hours required to package individual supplies. Furthermore, it significantly lowers material expenses since the machine does most of the hard work rather than needing to employ personnel to do it on your behalf. There are two different types of palletizing systems, either completely automated or semi-automated. The first type completely automated systems assemble the pallets by themselves and place them in a storage area for easy access and retrieval. The second type of system has a semi-automated option that can load the pallets into the storage bins while they are being assembled. These automated systems generally operate on the same principles as traditional manual loading methods, though they may be set up differently to accommodate varying situations.

Not only must the equipment be able to handle the large pallets, but it must also be able to handle the heavy weight of the individual pallets. This equipment comes in many forms and varieties. Portable material handling equipment is ideal for small companies or for those who don’t have the need to ship products by truck. Large, heavy industrial type material handling equipment is better suited to manufacturing and shipping large quantities of material. Medium-sized companies may also find pallet systems advantageous, particularly if their needs involve a combination of heavier and lighter loads.
There are many types of automated palletizing systems available. Some of the most popular include fully automatic, semi-automatic and parallel free-loading equipment. Fully automatic systems are more expensive but usually have better support and serviceability. Semi-automatic systems can be used in parallel fashion with the manual pallet loading or independently, in which case they are more suitable for small businesses. Parallel free-loading equipment operates in a similar fashion to a forklift, moving only one pallet at a time.
Modern materials handling equipment includes both portable and fixed units and operate using electric, hydraulic and pneumatic power. Many models use an integrated system that features clamping devices and other mechanisms that enable the device to load workpieces with the appropriate amount of force. This ensures that the device will not damage any workpiece during the process and prevents damage from occurring in the first place. Some models of handheld palletizing systems also feature crush-free openers that prevent the build-up of pressure in the material handling system itself. This feature is ideal for applications where the user does not need to access the workpiece until all the material has been loaded safely and is ready to be handled.
A wide range of palletizing systems are available for any type of machining operation. For example, a low speed electric motor is often found in electric rams that are used to transport large quantities of stamped materials to a grinding machine. Hydraulic couplings and ball bearings are also common in modern hydraulic palletizing systems. Drive rollers can also be used to load large sections of materials and are widely used on vertical mount cranes. Modern material handling equipment incorporates an integrated system that incorporates both open and close belt drive systems, which is essential when machining in heavy-duty circumstances.
